Dottie
grew up in Georgia
and received her
Bachelors of Visual
Arts from Georgia
State University
in Atlanta.
Involved in various
arts from childhood,
she was trained
as a painter and
has exhibited her
paintings in the
U.S. and Europe.
She began beading
six years ago, and
now uses it (along
with macrame’
and wirework) as
her major means
of artistic expression.
The media may be
different, but the
principles of art
are always the same
whether you are
beading or painting.
